Research Assistant, UCD School of Biomolecular & Biomedical Science (Temporary)

The Cancer Biology and Therapeutics Lab is seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong interest in cancer research and translational medicine to join their team at the Conway Institute of Biomolecular and Biomedical Research, UCD. The project is one of three projects within the Irish Programme for Stratified Prostate Cancer Therapies (iPROSPECT), funded by the Irish Cancer Society and Movember. The successful candidate will contribute to the understanding of epigenomic alternations involved in disease progression and drug resistance in castration resistant prostate cancer. This project, under the supervision of Dr Antoinette Perry, couples a de novo discovery of epigenome evolution during CRPC progression with evidence-based gene-specific methylation analysis for development of predictive biomarkers of treatment response.
