Dataset Support Officer required for IPCOR Project, Cork-based


Applications are invited for a Dataset Support Officer (Temporary) who will be employed by the National Cancer Registry to support the Irish Prostate Cancer Outcomes Research (IPCOR) project. The primary responsibility of the post-holder will be to develop and maintain a data entry system using Microsoft Access and to provide support to system users. Other responsibilities will include merging separate Access databases and preparation of anonymised datasets for analysis and research purposes.

The successful candidate must have a third level qualification preferably with an IT component and have experience in using Microsoft Office. Experience of developing databases and managing datasets is also essential. Some experience in supporting research studies and using Microsoft Access is desirable.

This post will be based at the National Cancer Registry in Cork. Starting salary will be in accordance with Department of Health grade IV: €25,752 – €42,891. A full job description can be downloaded here.
